Member Criteria 

Service Categorization

Partner agency services are categorized as basic needs, disabled services, health services, family services, senior citizens, or youth development.

Documentation 

A partner agency must be registered as a non-profit organization with the Secretary of the State of Iowa and must be registered with the Internal Revenue Service as non-profit 501(c)3 or under charitable organization section. Agencies must operate under a written set of by-laws, articles of incorporation, or agreement that details the purpose, objectives and the scope of the agency and must operate on a sound financial basis and maintain an adequate system of records. All partner agencies are eligible for annual funding and/or special request funds.

The Allison Area Foster Parents Support Group exists to provide education, information, resources and su pport for the foster families and special needs adoptive families of Bremer, Butler, Franklin, and Grundy Counties; to increase community awareness, support, and participation in foster parenting and adoption, and to advocate for the needs of foster families and special needs adoptive families as well as the children in their care

The Waterloo Regional Office serves low income Iowans in: Black Hawk, Bremer, Butler, Buchanan, Chickasaw, Grundy, Hardin and Howard Counties. ILA assists with civil legal issues only. Our services are free. We screen applicants for financial eligibility and for cases meeting our priorities by phone and in person.

Though the target population is primarily low income, we serve people of all income levels and age regardless of race, color, or creed. Programs are designed to help anyone needing assistance, daily or in an emergency. Programs are designed to help prevent clients from becoming homeless.
