Day of caring

Each September, 400+ volunteers come together, roll up their sleeves, and provide a much-needed workforce to complete local projects. On this day, individuals and groups come together to participate in a variety of service activities, such as landscaping, painting, organizing donations, and assisting with community events.

Program Description:

Let’s do it together! Businesses and employees, schools and students, community leaders and residents will tackle meaningful projects that deliver a day of caring.


  • Agency Project Submission Deadline: July 1
  • Team Sign Up begins: July 1
  • Team Sign Up Deadline: Sept. 1


Program Stats:

  • 400+ local volunteers annually
  • Over 50 community projects supporting city, schools, non-profits, and low-income and elderly homeowners. 


Program Details:

  • September 11, 2024
  • 8am-9am – Kick Off Breakfast (Free Will Offering supporting WAVP)  & Program (Program/Group Photo at 8:30am). Supported in part by Kwik Star.
  • 9:30am-4pm – Volunteer Projects
  • 11am-1pm - $10 Lunch Available to Order (Proceeds supporting W-SR FCCLA)
