Little Free Pantry

The Little Free Pantry at the Waverly-Shell Rock Area United Way offers families 24/7 access to food, household goods, and personal care items. Supported by the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation and Dale Howard Auto Center of Waverly, the pantry provides dignity, hope, and practical help during difficult times.

Hand-built by Iowa craftsman Phil Jass and painted by Freedom Rock artist Ray “Bubba” Sorensen, it serves as both a vital resource and a symbol of community pride. The Waverly-Shell Rock Area United Way oversees the pantry to ensure it stays stocked and ready for neighbors in need.

Program Description:

The Little Free Pantry provides free access to nonperishable food, baby items, hygiene products, and other everyday essentials for anyone facing a tough time.

No sign-up, no paperwork, no questions asked—just take what you need, when you need it. Stocked and supported by local partners, the pantry is here to ensure every family in the Waverly-Shell Rock area has a place to turn during challenging moments.

How to Get Involved:

Hosting a drive is the best way to get involved to ensure the Free Little Pantry stays stocked with essentials.
