This event will provide valuable information on a wide range of programs, including food assistance, housing support, mental health services, child development resources, crisis intervention, healthcare, domestic violence and sexual assault support, legal aid, Veteran’s services, and much more. Whether you're seeking help for yourself or a loved one, this is your chance to learn about the resources available to you!

Agency Description
Allen Child Protection Center The Allen Child Protection Center (ACPC) provides assistance for children or dependent adults who may be victims of abuse, or have witnessed a violent crime.
Allen Women's Health Clinic Bremer county is a service county for us! We are the title X and Title V clinic in the area, and we provide Family Planning(Contraception, Well-Woman Exams, HPV vaccination, STI testing & treatment, etc.). and Maternal Health services (education and support throughout a pregnancy) to those who have private insurance, Medicaid, or NO insurance!
Alternatives Pregnancy Center Waverly Services are free and confidential and include: Pregnancy test, STD test, Ultrasounds, Parenting Support, Fatherhood Program, Essentials for you and baby, Abortion Pill Reversal, and Abortion Recovery and Care.
Black Hawk County Public Health 1st Five program, which works within Bremer County and surrounding counties to improve the rates of developmental screenings in primary healthcare and provides connections to early intervention services and community resources for referred children.
Bremer County Health Department Bremer County Health Department offers a range of health programs, including foot clinics for seniors and persons with disability, a free 12-month Diabetes Prevention Program, free Naloxone kits for opioid overdose, and no-cost vaccines for eligible adults and children. These services aim to improve community health and well-being by providing essential care and support to those in need.
Bremer County Veterans Affairs We are committed to providing our Bremer County veterans and their family members with the most up-to-date information and assistance in applying for county, state and federal benefits. All veterans are welcome to make an appointment at our office. We can help you understand what benefits you may be eligible for, or see what benefits have changed since the last time you stopped in.
Care Initiatives Hospice We offer a wide variety of services including one on one education, RN, SW, SC, aids, music therapy, massage therapy, pet therapy, reiki therapy, volunteer and so much more. If you are not in need of services but are looking to make a difference, we are always looking for great volunteers!
Caring Assistance Network Coordinates services for food insecurity, system supports, housing, transportation, personal care, and health/child development.
Cedar Valley Angels Cedar Valley Angels’ programs improve the sobering outcomes for the foster care community. This community is vulnerable to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), which lead to mental and physical health challenges. Our mission is to walk alongside youth and families by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.
Families First Counseling Service Partner with the Department of Health and Human Services to provide services to at risk families in Bremer/Butler Co.
Four Oaks Foster and Adoptive Family Connections   We have the state contract with the Department of Health and Human Services to do all things related to foster care and adoption.  I'm the recruiter for the area.  We have caseworks that complete the home study and submit to HHS for approval and follow families as they receive children.  Four Oaks provides all of the initial training and then ongoing training for recertification.  We also have adoption specialists to support families who adopt children.  There are other services for children across the state, but I would be focused on foster and adoption for this area.  
Friends of the Family We are a housing agency focused on people experiencing literal homelessness and we serve 25 counties in Northeast and North Central Iowa. We provide rental assistance and have a domestic violence shelter in Bremer County.
Girl Scouts Girl Scouts is the preeminent leadership development organization for girls and believes in the power of every girl to change the world. The Girl Scout program provides girls of varying backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to discover adventure, gain new skills, and change the world.
Habitat for Humanity dedicated to establishing stability, equity, and hope within communities through the promotion of homeownership.
Happier at Home Happier at Home hires compassionate caregivers to support seniors to stay safe and independent at home. Our services are tailored to each individual, helping with everything from transportation and housekeeping, practicing physical therapy exercises, bathing help, dementia care, meal preparation, companionship, and more.
Helping Services for Youth & Families The Domestic Abuse Resource Center provides free and confidential direct support services to survivors of domestic violence in Bremer county. Our services include individualized safety planning, crisis counseling, medical and legal advocacy, transportation assistance, and financial assistance.
Iowa Legal Aid Iowa Legal Aid is a nonprofit legal organization that provides critical legal assistance to low-income and vulnerable Iowans. 
Iowa Works I am responsible for identifying migrant and seasonal farm workers and connecting them with the various resources available through our AJC center. Additionally, I ensure they are informed about relevant community resources to support their needs.
Lutheran Services in Iowa LSI's Families Together program provides in-home support to help families build parenting- skills, access education and resources, and reduce stressors at home. Families Together is a free, voluntary service available to parents from pregnancy until their child is 18 years old. To make a referral in Bremer, Butler, Grundy, or Franklin counites, call 319-290-9797.
NAMI Black Hawk County Non-profit in Waterloo which offers a combination of online and in-person support groups as well as structured classes and educational opportunities to anyone in the Cedar Valley living with mental illness, their families, partners, and friends.  All services are free of charge.
North Star Community Services North Star Community Services offers Day Habilitation Services and Supported Living services for adults with disabilities using a person-centered approach to provide support and education in independent living skills, self-advocacy, communication, daily living skills and developing and utilizing natural supports in the community. 
Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging coordinates services for individuals to help them maintain the independence they desire. Services we provide include option counseling, case management, meal programs, caregiver support, respite services, evidence-based health programs, advocacy, and recreation and education programs.
Northeast Iowa Community Action
Northeast Iowa Food Bank The Northeast Iowa Food Bank distributes nutritious food and grocery products to over 130 nonprofit organizations and programs that help families and individuals with food assistance. For 40 years, the Food Bank has alleviated hunger and provided nutrition education through its programs and welcomed community members as volunteers to help support their community.
Operation Threshold WIC Operation Threshold is a Community Action Agency.  We are committed to building a bright future through services that make a difference in people’s lives. Services include: WIC- Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan and Grundy Counties, LIHEAP and Weatherization- Black Hawk, Buchanan, and Grundy Counties, Crisis and Energy Assistance, Home Visitation Programming- Black Hawk, Buchanan, Bremer, Butler, Franklin, and Grundy Counties, Nest, Disaster Case Management, Affordable Housing- Black Hawk and Buchanan County and Family Development.
Riverview Center Our organization is a nonprofit agency committed to providing compassionate client-centered care for survivors of sexual violence. We support survivors by offering 100% free and confidential services including: medical advocacy, legal advocacy, and general advocacy, as well as peer counseling. 
Senior Citizens Group The Waverly Senior Center's focus provides senior citizens opportunities to connect to each other and the community through programming and activities. The staff and volunteers prepare delicious nutritional food to enhance health and wellness in a facility that is beautiful and accessible at 506 East Bremer Avenue, Waverly.
The Homicide and Other Violent Crime Program Our mission is to assist individuals, families, friends and neighbors through the trauma of a violent crime by making necessary obligations easier, more understandable and attainable in the most efficient and caring way possible.
The Larrabee Center The Larrabee Center is dedicated to assisting persons with disabilities and the elderly to become or remain valued members of the community. Home, community and employment supports seek to increase independence and inclusion in the community. Trinkets & Togs Thrift Stores give individuals the opportunity to gain valuable work experience.
Agency Description
Together For Youth Together For Youth works collaboratively to improve adolescent sexual health outcomes and strengthen young families. We offer a package of adolescent pregnancy prevention programming including middle and high school classroom Health Education in Bremer County. We also have a weekly support and education program for expectant and parenting teens and their children called Young Parents Together (YPT). This is held at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. 
Waverly Health Center Waverly Health Center (WHC) is a 25-bed community hospital located in Waverly, Iowa. WHC offers a range of services including inpatient care, ambulatory surgery, outpatient services, specialty clinics and emergency room care. With a strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered health care, WHC strives to meet the needs of the local community by delivering compassionate, professional care close to home.
Waverly Public Library We provide many different types of resources for check-out, computers & internet access, space for meetings, and programs for children, teens & adults.
